Yeah, I am going to get a little shameless here, and blog this again.
Watch my video. Re-blog my video. Check out the description of why I did this video. Donate to my dance marathon in the fight against Pediatric AIDS! Enjoy.

Alright Tumblr, here it is. My big video. IT’S ME, DOING ROBYN’S “CALL YOUR GIRLFRIEND”! And you can compare it Taran via SNL and Robyn in one viewing.
WHY did you do this?
Well, I will be participating in the UCLA Dance Marathon on February 18-19. It’s 26 hours of dancing! And it’s all in support of the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, Project Kindle, OneHeartland, and the UCLA AIDS Institute. In an effort to represent the mental and physical challenges faced by children suffering from HIV/AIDS, I will be raising funds to provide hope for thousands of families around the world.
While thinking of ways to fundraise, I saw the SNL version of this video. I was so inspired by Robyn and Taran, and I thought, hey! I can do that! (Sort of. Maybe?) To prove I can dance like champ, and I am worth supporting.
And with a little help from my friends, far too many hours in front of a computer dancing, and a sister who happened to own a puffy pink coat…I did it.
So, if you got a buck, or two (three, four, or more) to donate to the cause, please visit my fundraising site and do so. Help me fight Pediatric AIDS. I will love you forever and ever if you do.

If not, at least enjoy the video.
Many thanks to my friends Willie, Chrystal, and Mariana for helping me make this ridiculousness happen.
Thanks Tumblr!
2009: United States of Pop- DJ Earworm
Still rocks my socks off.
To start another year, let’s post DJ Earworm’s mashup of the Top 25 Billboard hits of 2011, The World Go Boom. I enjoy this mash up way more than his 2010 attempt. 2009 still is a work of absolute genius. All of them are ridiculously impressive. The songs this year were:
Adele - Rolling In The Deep
Adele - Someone Like You
Black Eyed Peas - Just Can’t Get Enough
Bruno Mars - Grenade
Bruno Mars - The Lazy Song
Britney Spears - Till The World Ends
Cee Lo Green - F* You
Enrique Iglesias - Tonight (I’m Lovin’ You)
Foster the People - Pumped Up Kicks
Jennifer Lopez - On The Floor
Jeremih feat. 50 cent - Down On Me
Katy Perry - Firework
Katy Perry - E.T.
Katy Perry - Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)
Lady Gaga - Born This Way
LMFAO - Party Rock Anthem
LMFAO - Sexy and I Know It
Lupe Fiasco - The Show Goes On
Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger
Nicki Minaj - Super Bass
OneRepublic - Good Life
Pink - Raise Your Glass
Pitbull - Give Me Everything
Rihanna - S&M
Rihanna - We Found Love
It’s interesting to note that multiple artists have multiple hits. Also, the prominence of dance music is really apparent. OneRepublic, Foster the People, and Adele are the only non, pop dance hits on this list. Here’s an NPR article with Roseman (Earworm), where he talks about the boom boom boom boom beat that dominated the pop charts, and compares this era to when Disco was popular.
This always makes me excited that there is a whole year to come of music and creativity. What in the world will make next years mashup? Only time will tell.
And in case you wanna go back in time and see 2009, I’ll just make that my next entry.
Abba, Take a Chance on Me
(The Album, 1978) Here is a song that reminds me of Last year’s Christmas.
This is sooo good right now. So good.
I really want to go dancing right now.
By the way, what’s with people who hate dancing? I wish they would get over themselves.
I idealize dancing in public places because of this scene in Breakfast Club.
I think almost every moment could potentially turn into a music video.
RIP John Hughes. Very sad, he was much too young.
Leading by Example; this man is my hero.
Pretty sure you want to watch this. Pretty sure you do.
Watching this made me want to start a dance revolution. But I want to do that a lot anyways.
